The reason for this article is to educate our exiting customers, and also the new ones about Practilite 602.
The Practilite 602 is a variable beam fresnel light with a color temperature from 3000 to 6000 Kelvin. Mostly known on the market because of the small size and amazing throw.
For many years, the light has been very popular amongst wedding videographers, and the reason is – cinematic narrative.
You don’t need a fancy camera to get those Hollywood looking shots, the secret is always in the lighting. Because of quality lighting, you can be the master of your film.
One of the World’s most paid and wanted wedding filmmaker is Ray Roman. He has been using the Practilite 602’s for years. You can study the way he is placing the lights on the set by taking a online course from Mzed.

Placing the lights in a way that they actually are a part of the scene and composition is the key to those cinematic scenes. The subject is on the spotlight and becomes to be the scenter of the story.

The colors can be adjusted between 3000 to 6000 Kelvin and intensity of the light from 0 to 100% – on the boost mode, the light is on 140% of intensity. All of this can be set on the fixture or remotely via the Practilite Remote Control app (for Android and IPhone).
The remote function “Practilite Remote Control” app is especially useful for single-person shooters or small crews when a gaffer is not available.
